Traditionally, surface and colloid chemistry, if included at all, constitutes the last chapter of conventional physical chemistry testbooks. Consequently, many courses run out of time before the topic is reached! Professor Lyklema, advised by colleagues at the Wageningen Agricultural University and elsewhere, has written this book to counter this tendency.
