A six-bedroom home on Route 9 has been purchased to serve as a temporary shelter for runaway and homeless teenagers, the Citizens Committee for a Youth Shelter announced Tuesday.
The committee said it has reached agreement with the Woodworth family to purchase 2118 Route 9, which is on a 5.8-acre parcel in the Malta Ridge neighborhood, for $190,000.
